{"id":1182,"date":"2013-01-06T15:57:01","date_gmt":"2013-01-06T13:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rifai.org\/sufism\/?page_id=1182"},"modified":"2015-10-22T00:26:55","modified_gmt":"2015-10-21T22:26:55","slug":"its-the-true-man-who-leads-the-mystic-life","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.rifai.org\/sufism\/its-the-true-man-who-leads-the-mystic-life\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s the true man who leads the mystic life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s the true man who leads the mystic life<br \/>\nWhoever is human, whoever dares.<br \/>\nThose who stand high and look below with scorn<br \/>\nAre bound to fall from the top of the stairs.<\/p>\n<p>Though a gray-bearded old man might look grand,<br \/>\nThere is so much he doesn&#8217;t understand,<br \/>\nLet him not struggle towards the Holy Land<br \/>\nIf he causes one heart to burn in tears.<\/p>\n<p>A deaf man cannot hear what people say,<br \/>\nHe thinks it&#8217;s night when it&#8217;s brightest day,<br \/>\nThe atheist&#8217;s eyes are blind to Allah&#8217;s way<br \/>\nEven though the whole world glitters and glares.<\/p>\n<p>The lover&#8217;s heart is the Creator&#8217;s throne.<br \/>\nAllah admires and accepts it as his own,<br \/>\nThe man who breaks a heart shall groan and moan<br \/>\nIn both worlds, suffering sorrows and cares.<\/p>\n<p>You have a self image in your own eyes,<br \/>\nBe sure to see others in the same guise.<br \/>\nEach of the four holy books clarifies<br \/>\nThis truth as it applies to man&#8217;s affairs.<\/p>\n<p>We have seen it all: Those who came are gone.<br \/>\nThose who once stopped here went back one by one;<br \/>\nHe must have gulped love&#8217;s wine if anyone<br \/>\nFeels the reality that Allah&#8217;s truth bares.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s the true man who leads the mystic life Whoever is human, whoever dares.
